About 3-4 years ago the whole world went crazy about Darren Hayes, the ex-soloist of Savage Garden. Then Hayes released his first solo album "Spin" (2002). And, for example, in England that record sold more copies than either of the two Savage Garden's albums. To support "Spin", a world tour was arranged. Europe, Asia and even Latin America were included.

After that, another tour was held to back up the second album, "The Tension and The Spark". Especially the singer remembers the concert in Thailand, where he was greeted and honored as a king. After the tour Darren took a little time-out and went away to Australia, his home country. "I rested well. I spent a lot of time at the beach by the ocean, met my relatives. And just relaxed, as I didn't have the chance to sleep until lunch during the tour," says Darren.

When he had gathered the strength to write his next double album, the singer went to London for half a year. He devoted all his time to working in the studio. Now Hayes has a new producer - Justin Shave. Thanks to Justin his music has changed a bit, there are more ethnic motives in it. The singer plans to finish his new album in December, but it will be released at the beginning of the year 2007.

In June 2006 Hayes placed a free access to his single "Unlovable" on his official site. It was an acoustic version of the song, which was dedicated to charity (to save sick children). For that Darren asked only one thing: to sacrify a single dollar (or as much as a person can) to the foundation "Positive Kids" (that finances an organization "Camp Goodtime" which helps children who have HIV).
"Next year I plan to separate more time to deal with charity. There are so many people in the world who still need help," Darren talks.
