Dear Darren, My name is Kelly. I want to wish you a Happy 30th Birthday from the bottom of my heart. I have been a fan since I saw "I Want You" on TV in 1997, but over the past two-and-a-half years I have really come to see what an important part of my life you are.

Although I was sad to see Savage Garden end, when you went solo and I joined the PA Street Team, it was one of the most important days of my life. I have found an incredibly tight group of friends who know what it's like to be touched by your music and touched by who you are as a person. They mean the world to me and I owe you my life for bringing them to me.

You are one of the most unique and inspiring artists the music world has ever seen, but I think I love Darren Hayes the Person even more than I love Darren Hayes the Pop Star. They truly broke the mold when you came in this world because there is no one quite like you on Earth. You must certainly be a gift from God. I have never known someone with a bigger heart than yours. You are intelligent, honest, compassionate, creative, and funny, among many other things. It's often difficult for me to find the words to describe all of your wonderful qualities.

The important thing is that you have brought friends into my life that I will cherish forever and that you have shared your amazing talent with all of us.

September 11 was a tragic day but I'm so glad that you survived and are still here inspiring millions. It's obvious that there is no better day than your birthday to tell you those things.

I'm proud of everything you have accomplished and I'm very proud of what you've done with Spin. Hi Darren. I wanted to ask...does the world look different when you wake up on your 30th birthday? Do you see it through half-closed eyes? Things feel heavier, more substantial, like maybe gravity got more intense overnight?
The world wants us to grow up. Oh joy.
Put on things like mortgages, insurance, 401k's, golf shoes.....which aren't all that bad when they actually fit, but are mostly just annoying! But can you still sing out loud in the shampoo aisle of Walgreen's? Can you have a whole conversation with just a smile? Eat dessert first? Believe that Mt.
