(It starts with a clip of Darren being photographed - it's the shoot that he wore white pants and a light blue button-up tank top, if you are curious)

Darren: "I think that the beauty of being a popstar is that, uh, you can break all the rules. It's like being a child again."

(view of the outside of Radio City Music Hall, and we hear a woman's voice saying: "videofashion caught up with Darren Hayes of SG during their gig at NYC's Radio City Music Hall." - the clip then goes to the concert performance of "The Best Thing")

Darren: "I love this tour. Um, I'm a big fan of pop shows, and um, very often we put on shows that we probably can't afford to do. Um, I spend more money on production and staging and the theatrics of our shows."

(woman's voice: "And with those theatrics come outrageous costumes.")

Darren: "In terms of the actual structure of the clothing, it just cam from popular icons, um, so there's a lot of leather, there's some chains, there's, uh, the color orange in my outfits...comes from the 5th Element, those kinds of things. And everything I wear onstage I would never wear offstage, it's funny, and it only makes sense onstage."

(It goes between Darren talking to the interviewer/camera - he's wearing a black t-shirt and has sunglasses on his head - and clips of "Gunning Down Romance". ... Then a clip of "Break Me Shake Me")

Darren: "When I perform onstage, um it, it is kind of like being in character, and it's a little iconic. The 1st 2 songs, it's almost like being a superhero, it's exaggerated. I'm wearing a jacket with...it almost has like, um, fake abs or you know, like, muscles..made out of metal. It's all very gladiator meets you know, Brando, meets Elvis."

("Chained To You" clip)

Darren: "Halfway through the show, there's a, there's a costume change, and I come out as a cheesy Elvis. It's very tongue and cheek, and so, like, you know, it's the largest fake jewels you've ever seen in your life all over this costume."

(woman's voice: "But what about Darren's sexy partner, Daniel Jones?")

Darren: "I don't touch Daniel. Um, Daniel almost doesn't get dressed, it's the funniest thing. On our first tour, I had a lot to say with the sets and the actual designing of the show and costumes. And, uh, on the 2nd tour, that was one of the first things he said, 'I'm not wearing a costume.' And we're like, 'ok.'"

("To The Moon And Back" playing, woman's voice: "As with any popstar, a stylist is a must.")

Darren: "Nina's role is two-fold, because when we're doing a concert tour, she basically packs everything I wear onstage."

Nina: "When I arrive, I'll come into his dressing room and bring his wardrobe case, open it up, and the first thing I do is set up his makeup and his hair and makeup products, because... and I like to set it up as so (shows how it's set up), just nice and neat. It's his blowdryer, his hair straightener, his facial steamer...which is great for his voice. We've gotten into a routine with that, where he'll come and steam his face and voice. And this is his mug, and Darren couldn't survive without it. And then I come to his wardrobe case and I sort through everything. I do the cleaning. I eitehr, um, hand wash or machine wash. His costumes, I had wash everything."

Darren: "That's probably her least detailed role (clip of him preparing for phot shoot-same as beginning) because, off tour, she's the person who would dress me for an awards' show or for a tv performance, a photo shoot...."

(woman's voice: "From photo shoots to elaborate stage performances, Darren even maintains his look in their music videos.")

(clip of "Crash And Burn")

Darren: "And on a music video, it's, it's much more sincere I think, and much more detailed. And, you're, you're almost selling yourself as um, you know, as a man or a person on the street, someone that, for example, um, Crash and Burn, I'm, I am wearing a Gucci leather jacket. But it looks like a leather jacket anyone could probably go and buy. It's just your basic leather jacket and uh, you know, a really nice t-shirt.

(clip of "I Knew I Loved You")

Darren: I Knew I Loved You, there was one outfit which was the rock star outfit which is, uh, when I'm on the train, and I'm performing and it's a, it's a Prada, it's black and it's zip-up and uh, it's very slick. For me, anyway, my image has mostly been about being relateable."
