Barry Bissell: Hey Darren welcome home

Darren: It's great to be home how are you?

Barry Bissell: I'm good, how are you? it's been awhile since you've been home

Darren: Yea actually this is been my 4th trip home this year so I actually feel like I've been home more than ever in my career, but yea it's been a busy year

Barry Bissell: What have you been doing

Darren: You know just promoting Spin. The great thing is this tour is about to be six month of me singing, whereas I've just spent the last year just talking about myself. so I've been everywhere from all over Europe, I've just got back from China it's been kind of crazy but fun

Barry Bissell: Now your very first solo concert is being presented by take40.com we're proud to say. It's called Too Close For Comfort. What's that all about?

Darren: Well basically, what I wanted to do with this tour is to get people in my space. Really…just looking at me as a singer, as a songwriter. To get the attention back on to the music for a change. And I really wanted to do something that was ahh intimate something that was really special and once again that just focus' on the music and on me as a vocalist.

Barry Bissell: Cool…now Darren I'm just looking at you and I have to say you're looking fashionable today. And I hear you keep up with the latest fashion trends and I also hear that the lovely Donatello Versace flew you to Milan for the Versace Men's wear parade. Then you went back to her apartment for dinner. True story?

Darren: That's true, the part about me being very fashionable today, he's lying folks. I'm in jeans and a pretty bad t-shirt, but it was abit of a laugh. I got invited over to Milan and they dress you head to toe. All those clichés you hear about fashion awards are true. They dress you and there's fancy parties and celebrities. And ah the whole thing was a blur, a lot of fun and yea I look back at the photographs and can't believe I was there either to be honest.

Barry Bissell: Do you get to keep the clothes?

Darren: You dooo… you get to keep the clothes, isn't that great.

Barry Bissell: That's it I'm getting famous! Sounds cool.
