There has been a soul explosion in the course of this year..
Jill Rappaport caught up with 2 very sultry young male singers Darren Hayes and Glen Lewis.
They may not be household names but they are making sexy music that's worth checking out.

They were pop music's dynamic duo of the 90's the twosome known as Savage Garden.

Darren: We were from Brisbane Australia and suddenly we were traveling the whole world.

After two chart topping albums more than 20 million albums sold one half of this Aussie act decided to call it quits.

Jill: How did you react when he came to you and said "Ive had enough no more pop star thing"

Darren: Right initially I freaked out thats pretty normal I freaked I thought we would be in a band forever

Jill: Their breakup become official last year

So Darren made the daring decision to go solo.

Jill: It had to be terrifying

Darren: The first time I wrote a song without Daniel I didn't if I could do it I didnt know how much of the success was him and how much was me.

Jill: At the time of the break up you also went through a painful divorce from your wife of six years

Darren: It was difficult Those moments make you stronger They make you appreciate the good times

Jill: Times are looking really good with the release of his solo album SPIN

Jill: Inspired by his favorite Motown artists the young crooner is now going for a soulful sexier sound

Jill: It oozes sensuality this album

Darren: I hope so... there is sex in the bottom of this record... you can shake your hips to it..

Darren: Well... I'm a Taurus thats my star sign born May 8 I Love good food and good lips
